I bring to the children/youth at Phippen House numerous years of experience in the field of working with a variety of special and medical needs. I have 30 years experience providing programming and care for children in both an educational and recreational setting. For 11 years I assisted in the local school boards with youth having a variety of learning, behavioural, and medical needs. These past 5 years I followed a dream to open my home to medically fragile children/youth with complex medical needs, who may be technologically dependent requiring medical support and management. It is my personal desire to provide life changing opportunities in working with families and agencies providing better life outcomes to every child/youth that crosses this path at Phippen House.

STAFF

Our caring and certified staff are available 24 hours a day to provide hands-on care and to maintain a high staff to child/youth ratio. We strive to meet the individual needs of each child/youth while offering a natural, family environment. Our staff are trained Child/Youth Workers (CYC), Developmental Service Workers (DSW), Behavioural Science Technologists (BST), Social Service Workers (SSW) and share a wide range of personal and professional experience.

All staff are trained in First Aid and CPR Level C, and Crisis Prevention through CPI. Our fulltime staff are fully trained in American Sign Language (ASL).
